ALMA Consulting Group

Alma Consulting Group SAS (ALMAcg) is an Operational Management Consulting Company of which the Innovation Department, settled both in Lyon and Paris in France, is specialised since 1994 in the engineering and coordination of collaborative, both national and international, R&D projects.

ALMAcg owns a recognised expertise in the management of collaborative projects (since 5th FP) covering all thematic including ICT and takes in charge the day-to-day (operational) project management. For close to fifteen years, ALMAcg, thanks to its collaboration with R&D consortia, has developed specific and original knowledge and methodologies in the management of partnerships to support them efficiently in the achievement of their objectives.

The Innovation Department consists of 300 employees (consultants and administrators) with graduated engineer and/or PhD background with complementary training in marketing, technology transfer and project management.

Role & Activities in the project

ALMAcg is in charge of the project management with France Telecom, in particular administrative management, communication, technical monitoring and steering…
ALMAcg will also support the coordinator for the logistics of the Advisory Board or workshop meetings.

In the FP6, ALMAcg has been involved in 55 projects (32% IP, 45% Strep, 23% SME projects) and is actual partner of around 30 FP7 projects. ALMA is also coordinating or participating in 5 Specific Support Actions mainly dedicated to support SME to be part of FP6/FP7 projects. ALMAcg is also involved in the setting-up and coordination of a number of intergovernmental or national projects (Eurêka, Eurostars, PISI, ANR, etc.).

Key people involved

François Bourdel is consultant in the Innovation Department since summer 2008. After a master degree in the French Engineering School Telecom Paristech, he worked during 3 years in the Information Technology departments of some big French firms (banking, industrials). In ALMA, he has been involved in the setting-up of several European projects (FP7, JTI) and national projects (FUI, Investissements d’avenir), mostly in the field of ICT. He has also a great experience in the coordination of EU projects. As an example, he was currently in charge of the day to day management of SENSEI, a FP7 Integrated Project with CEA-Leti in the field of the Internet of Things (20 partners, 15 M€ of grant, www.sensei-project.eu)

Julie Chupin is graduated in Master in Management and Business Administration. She has a solid experience in the missions related to the coordination of FP6 and FP7 European projects for companies of different size and in several technological domains. Her experience allowed her to assure the coordination of the global missions for large companies in France and other international countries. She is currently in charge of realizing missions of audit and consulting on the clients R&D activities: Consortium and European funds management.
